Using a probe and toolsetter dramatically shortens setup time and increases accuracy and reliability when measuring tool lengths and setting work offset coordinate systems. PathPilot's intuitive user interface includes routines to measure tool lengths and determine work coordinate offsets from a variety of standard part features (boss, pocket, corner). Additionally, PathPilot includes pre-written macros that allow you to easily add tool measurement to your existing G-code programs.
For more complicated workflows, CAM software like Fusion 360 or SprutCAM can be used to automate WCS setting on complex geometries or conduct in-machine part inspection.
